Legal Hold: Automatic Graph API Token Refresh

For Legal Hold users that leverage Graph API to send emails, the system now automatically refreshes the access token, preventing the token from expiring after 90 days of inactivity. This ensures that periodic users can seamlessly continue their workflows without interruptions, enhancing the overall reliability and user experience. Note, the toggle is currently turned on for Graph API users by default. If you’d like to turn this feature off, you can do so in the Legal Hold settings page.

Data Breach Response: Project Dashboard Early Access

New Collect Data Source: Cellebrite Endpoint Inspector & Mobile Now

Our latest Collect integration enables Cellebrite customers to submit collection requests for mobile devices directly to Cellebrite Endpoint Inspector and Mobile Now, managing these collections remotely within RelativityOne and automatically transferring the data for review and analysis. The collected data includes short message data in Relativity Short Message Format (RSMF) and the original phone image (UFD). This integration significantly streamlines the mobile device collection process, eliminating the need to physically acquire custodian devices, limiting disruption, and accelerating review timelines.

This capability will initially be available only to US customers, with broader geographic support expected in 2025.

Legal Hold: Error Messages for Failed Communications

Relativity Contracts: Essential Fields Model Powered by Generative AI

The new Contracts Essential Fields Model capability expands the AI-driven auto-population of contract fields beyond Contract Title and Contract Type to over a dozen key fields including, but not limited to, Parties, Effective Date, Expiration Date, Renewal Term, and Governing Law. With a focus on transparency and defensibility, Contracts hyperlinks field values to citations in contracts and populates rationale fields where appropriate. This enhancement saves you time and resources by reducing the need for manual entry, custom model training, or RegEx, ultimately improving margins on contract review projects and enabling more competitive pricing to win bids.

Updates to RelativityOne Support Groups

Support groups created in RelativityOne will now be named after the ticket ID, with a 'time to live' tied to the ticket's status. This ensures groups are automatically deleted once the ticket is closed, preventing accidental lockbox bypass and providing customers with clear visibility into why Relativity employees need access to their instance.

Mass PDF Permissions**

Processing: Processing Job Insights**

Over the past few months, we’ve made several enhancements to Processing that give you clearer insights into your job statuses. The updated layout and new status fields help you understand the impact of concurrent jobs and custom priorities, making it easier to manage your projects and provide accurate status reports. The new Processing Set layout is now the default view and ensures comprehensive visibility into your Processing jobs.

Legal Hold: Google Mail Authentication

Customers that use Google Basic Authentication for SMTP will need to transition to Google OAuth (Modern Authentication) by September 30, 2024. Failure to do so could result in the inability to send or receive Legal Hold notices via Google Mail. For more information on how to update your settings, please refer to our documentation page.

Staging Boundary Updates: Data Transfer

Changes to our Staging boundaries will be implemented beginning in September. With this change, you will no longer be able to write to or access data outside of the defined staging area. To better align with this initiative, we are updating some of our data transfer tools:

  • Integration Points will support direct imports and exports to the StructuredData folder.

  • Import/Export will support direct uploads of raw (unprocessed) data to the ProcessingSource folder and exports to the StructuredData folder within the Staging area.

Inline Editing

You can now easily edit fields inline directly from the document list page, eliminating the need to enter a coding layout or use a mass action to make changes. For users with permission, this intuitive editing capability introduces a new "edit mode" that bolds and highlights editable fields, reduces the chance of accidental edits, and auto-saves to ensure your desired changes are captured.

Processing: Mass Replace Errored Files

You can now replace multiple files at once that have been previously downloaded and modified outside of Relativity to remediate issues such as DRM encryption and data corruption. The new 'Mass Replace for Errored files' will now automatically perform the matching and replacement, significantly reducing the time and effort needed to replace files, from 30 minutes to just one minute per 100 files.

Processing: Track Exceptions as Errors and Warnings

You can now distinguish between expected issues (encryption, file corruptions, etc.) and unexpected (environmental, Input/Output problems, etc.) so you can better target remediation efforts after a job has completed. This creates a more targeted and specific workflow on error resolution, as you will be able to see which issues should be retried and which require manual resolution.

Name Normalization Improvements

We've adjusted how Name Normalization merges entities, reducing the likelihood that separate entities are incorrectly merged. These changes include putting more emphasis on the proper names of email participants, a new workflow to allow customers to identify entities that should be merged, new logic that address "undefined" aliases, and a UI option to exclude specific emails from analysis.

Conduct Coverage Review

You can now easily conduct coverage review in Review Center. By simply toggling on "coverage mode" when you begin a prioritized review queue, Review Center will sort documents in alignment with coverage review workflows, serving up mid-ranked documents first so that the AI classifier can learn from those coding decisions and train as quickly as possible.

Our newest Collect data source enables you to collect AI-generated conversational evidence directly from OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise into RelativityOne. You can seamlessly capture all prompt and response data by custodian, metadata, attachments from DALL-E, and more. Conversations will automatically convert to RSMF — saving you time and accelerating the review process of data from one of the world's fastest growing AI platforms.

Introducing the New Document List Page

We've modernized our document list page to provide you with a more performant, secure, and seamless experience. With this enhancement, you can now freeze columns as you scroll and copy column values to your keyboard directly from the list. You'll also notice a new design to our browser, search, and document preview panels with collapsible panels for more intuitive control. Finally, we've removed the ability to access the cluster browser directly from the list page, but you can still access it through widgets and dashboards.

Additionally, the Enable Customer Lockbox setting to control Client System Admins, will now prevent their workspace access unless added to the designated groups, streamlining access for Client System Admins and reducing the need to disable Lockbox.

Processing: Document deletion optimization

We made several improvements to the document deletion process. Now, when you delete a file ingested via Processing, all occurrences of the document, including duplicates, within the same processing data source will also be deleted. You can also choose to delete all occurrences of the document from other data sources, preventing automatic republication of duplicates to the workspace.

New Collect Data Source: SharePoint

Processing: Enhanced job insights

We are updating our Processing set layout to provide individual progress bars and descriptions to subphases of Processing jobs. It will also be easier to display statistics associated with each Processing job enabling greater transparency into your jobs for easy troubleshooting.

Note: This capability will be available via a Preview button on the upper right corner of the Processing set layout so you can begin getting used to it. We will inform you when this becomes the default experience.

New Preservation Application

Our enhanced in-place preservation application features a redesigned UI, improved status messaging, non-custodial preservations, and the ability to preserve multiple data sources within one legal hold project. We encourage all customers to migrate their preservation workflows into this new application. Other benefits include:

  • New Google Workspace preservation—the new application supports preserving Google Workspace data including Gmail, Drive, and Chat.

  • Refactored Microsoft 365 preservation—we’ve created a more streamlined and reliable experience when preserving Microsoft 365 data by integrating with Purview.

Our newest markup action extends the searching capabilities in the viewer, allowing you to find text within a PDF and redact it in a few clicks instead of manually drawing your markup. Search your PDFs for key terms or other important information, then quickly draw a redaction over selected search hits with your preferred markup type, style, and scope.

Streamline your redaction workflow with Façade Redactions

Marking up and producing natives just got easier with facade redactions. With this streamlined workflow, you no longer need to run a production preparation project for native documents, you can toggle markup transparency within the viewer, and you no longer need to manage redacted natives in a locked state for production.

*Note: This capability will be rolled out to RelativityOne instances starting January 23 over several weeks. The Relativity Team will notify you via email the week before it is delivered to your instance.
