Workspace security

Relativity is modernizing how you manage permissions. The Features tab is becoming the primary way to grant access. As each feature modernizes, Relativity manages its granular permissions from the Features tab. These changes roll out feature by feature over time. The Feature permissions topic explains the model and lists which features are modernized.

Relativity’s security rights are highly customizable. Each group you add to a workspace can have vastly different permissions than others. You can also copy an existing group’s permissions to save time on configuring them.

You set group permissions when adding a group to workspace, but you can change these permissions at any time from the Workspace Details page.

If you assign admin permissions to a user group by copying permissions from system admins, you must unset and reset the View Workspace permission to allow the user group to edit the workspace.

When the Customer lockbox feature is enabled, Relativity system admins must also belong to a group within a workspace in addition to the System Administrators group to access and administer security within that workspace. Refer to Support if you need more information on this feature.
