QC Review

QC Review lets you hide images in an Imaging Set from most users until a QC reviewer approves them. The QC reviewer can view the images, but other groups cannot see them until you release the set. A permission setting in the Admin Operations section of the Workspace Details tab controls whether members of a group can view images held for QC Review. If a user does not have sufficient permissions, the Image radio button is unavailable in the Viewer until you release the Imaging Set.

Use QC Review when you need one team to review images before releasing them to a larger group. You can restrict access to images in an Imaging Set while another group performs quality checks, then release the images when the review is complete.

QC Review of Imaging Sets that contain large volumes of documents can be optimized with Random Sampling. See Sampling for more information.

QC Review fields

The following two fields are used in QC Review. If you image a document in more than one Imaging Set, the Imaging Set field displays only the most recent one.

  • Image QC Status — This choice field indicates whether the document image is Hidden for QC. If the image is not hidden, this field is null.
  • Imaging Set — This field displays the most recent Imaging Set associated with the document. This field is null if the document image comes from outside Relativity or from the Image on the fly feature.

Image QC Review Status

The Image QC Review Status section of the Imaging Set console displays the following fields.

  • Documents set to hidden — Displays the number of images hidden during the imaging process.
  • Documents viewable — Displays the number of documents with viewable images.
