Imaging native types

The Native Types tab lists the file types that Relativity supports. Use this tab to identify and restrict file types from imaging. Import/Export also supports the same list of file types.

native types view

To locate specific file types, use the Show Filters option. You can also create a new view to customize what appears on the tab. Default restricted file types propagate to new imaging profiles. To edit these settings, click the Edit link for a file type. You can change the default restriction from imaging and the native download prevention setting.

If you restrict a particular file type, Relativity does not apply that restriction to existing Imaging Profiles. The restriction applies only to Imaging Profiles you create after editing the setting.

Editing a native type

  1. Click the Edit link for a file type. You can also click the Edit button on the details page.
  2. On the edit form, select the Yes or No radio button for the Restricted From Imaging By Default option. This value is set to No by default.
  3. Select the Yes or No radio button for the Prevent Native Download option. This value is set to No by default.
If Prevent Native Download is set to Yes, the Native button does not appear in the Viewer for files of that type for any user in the workspace.
  1. Click Save.
