Case Strategy
With the release of Matter Home, the Case Strategy documentation has been significantly updated to reflect the new functionality. If you are using Case Strategy for the first time since the release of Matter Home, we recommend reviewing the documentation to learn how workflows have been streamlined.
Case Strategy uses Generative AI to support and potentially accelerate the building of your case strategy. With Case Strategy, you can automatically identify and extract potential facts from key documents, generate customizable document summaries to assist with review, and use collections of these facts to help draft memos such as witness summaries and deposition outlines to support preparation for interviewing individuals.
Once Case Strategy is installed, the Matter Home tab serves as the hub for establishing your case strategy. To learn more, see Matter Home.

Installing Case Strategy
Case Strategy is available as a secured application from the Application Library. You must have an active Case Strategy contract to use it in standard workspaces. If you would like to learn more about starting Case Strategy, contact your Account Executive.
To install the application:
- Navigate to the Relativity Applications tab in your workspace.
- Select Install from the application library.
- Select the Case Strategy application.
- Click Install.

Case Strategy billing and usage
A workspace fee is charged when you run the first successful Fact extraction job or Transcript Summary job. To learn more about Transcript Summary, see Transcript Summary. You receive a quota of documents, and after exceeding that quota, billing transitions to a per-document rate. The workspace fee also provides up to 150 GB of .mp4 deposition video hosting and unlimited witness summaries and deposition outlines. Any video storage beyond the 150 GB is charged at your contractual Review rate.
You can view metrics on your Case Strategy usage, including the number of documents processed, with Cost Explorer. To learn more, see Cost Explorer.
If you have an integrated pricing contract, you can access Case Strategy and Assist in both standard and repository workspaces. For Case Strategy, the integrated pricing contract provides an allotment of up to 50,000 documents to use in each repository workspaces for each period, generally annually, of the SaaS subscription term. If a user tries to start a job that has enough documents to put you over the 50,000 document limit, the job fails to run. For aiR Assist, there are no additional considerations for repository workspace use on integrated pricing contracts. To learn more, contact your Account Executive.
